I am not sure I like his acting. Its just variations of the same guy. He is just a nice, affable guy and it shows on screen. The last few years, his talent has gotten even more transparent. Maybe its cause he just looks good.

and i saw terminator last night. it was 'meh'. arnold's cameo was tight.

Thats the problem with MCG movies. They are like blonde bimbos with no brains. They have no substance but look great. They have certain scenes that just stand out and are exceptional visually but meaningless when taken in context of the complete story. Terminator started off as a slasher techno flick and has degraded into pop-culture poop. I dislike the whole premise of the movie.

Why the hell are they introducting Marcus Wright. That was stupid, when this movie should have centered around the original characters and provided depth and humanity to the people who count in this story, mainly Reese and Connor. Stupid backstory in the beginning with donating organs and all that jazz. Its like MCG was not satisfied with building on the original storyline and characters and felt like he needed to add something/someone new. This just detracts completely from something I have been wanting to see since I first watched Terminator back in the day. You saw flashbacks of hell and the war against machines. It was so dark and riveting. It totally drew you completely into the story, due to the massive scale and intrigue of a world controlled by machines. This is part of the reason I liked the first Matrix in comparison to the 2nd and 3rd. It stopped being about the story and started being more and more about Neo and his ridiculous love story with Trinity. Same thing with this Terminator. How can they spend more time on a character that is meaningless in the whole scheme of the terminator series and then kill him off at the end? Stupid.

This movie should have been 40-60% about warfare, crawling in the dirt hiding, nuclear fires everywhere, famine, dogs barking, people moaning, and terminators with glowing eyes blasting away like spectres of death. All I saw was John Connor screaming, Marcus Wright insisting hes human when he is not, Reese being a fanboi loser, and some transformer reject crap, some lame independence day like fight scenes, and dumb ass Helena Bonham Carter...where was Johnny Depp if that whore was in this movie.

since my brother, our friends and i dropped some B prior to the movie,
it made us all super talkative about the movie as we sat in the parking lot and
smoked cigarettes. one thing i mentioned was that terminator one was such
a different type of movie then the rest, and everything after was just kind of
fucked. i completely agree with you deland. techno-slasher flick sound about
right.

the series continuity was fucked from the get-go when reese managed to sire john.

after cameron let that happen, they just didnt give a fuck anymore.

btw bryce dallas howard has never been hot to me.

Indeed, Bryce Dallas Howard...seriously wtf. Claire Danes, maybe, but Bryce Dallas Howard? I think she got that fucking role from having a bald powerful daddy named Ron Howard. Oh well, she had zero part in the movie except to check off a box for a character added in T3, which..was a complete joke, but a fun movie to watch. Hehehe!
